Transport and Travel Support
“A journey of a thousand miles, begins with a single step” – Lao Tzu
At Dash, we provide Activity Based Transport and Travel services. It is important to note that both of these services are part of the participant’s NDIS Social, Economic and Community Participation Supports and can be claimed from their flexible core budget.
Activity Based Transport service
Do you want to get from A to B? Our transport services enable participants to access disability supports outside their homes, and to achieve their goals.
Transport services allows support workers to transport clients to an activity that itself may not be a support; for example, getting to appointments or attending therapies, engaging on day-to-day activities, and transporting to education or their place of work.
The best part is that you can relax and enjoy your commute with the companionship of your preferred support worker from Dash.
Travel service
Do you want to take a break from the big city and go to the beach, mineral springs, zoo, aquarium, or nature? Or what about a day or a weekend trip? Dash can provide an escape and take you to discover picturesque views, long and short walks, or simply find a place to sit and have companionship and a good conversation.
From booking to packing and going with you on a trip, your support worker can organise those exciting things… and know you will be greatly looked after!
To provide a more significant support for you, our services of transport and respite travel have an extra sparkle: the very first Dashmobile! We are very happy to introduce this new member of our team, as it reminds us that at Dash we travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us!
